what's wrong with shooting through walls? most tactical fps have this feature, plus ppl can do that in real life.

Bear in mind that shooting through walls would be an attractive feature for campers, not to mention bug sensitive.

campers will camp regardless, even ut3 have campers.  Many games are fine with shooting through walls, even ballistic weapons for ut2k4 can do it without bugs.  Its just much more realistic.

Adding a few ingredients to a succes formula can do the product good. But changing 2 much shit will make the game totally crap i think. The job to finish TA is hard enough i think.

If u allow only a few heavy calibers or expensive weapons to penentrate  it  will make  the  winning team more powerfull.
If  all weapons can penetrate, u can only use walls to get out of sight. The  enemy will  know where u  are  after you shoot and take cover and shoot you.
It will change the gameplay way too much i think.  TA is not the type of game for this kind of things.
Mayb it's nice  to put  in 1 or 2 maps in a later version to attrackt a wider range of gamers.

really?  with ut2k4 ballistic weapons, they just adding penetration codes in their weapons classes without modifying any maps and its objects, would this be that much different? They put up their source codes too you can check it out.

so we should not have heavy calibers too because it will make willing teams more powerful?
With penetration value some walls will stop bullets, other like thin wooden doors won't.  It like that in real life.
Isn't this mod suppose to be tactical like cs and cod?  Their game type is quite popular with wall penetration.
You don't need to modify the maps in order to allow bullets to penetrate objects.
