Kinda a noob question but will the game play encourage camping? thats one thing i cant stand from "action games" such as CSS Cheesy

What kind of advertisement will be done for the mod will it just be a word of mouth thing cos id like nothing more than to see this game take off but if that is so i can only see it will appeal to TO players (whos pc's can run it) and current UT3 players

There are no longer any legal barriers, so yes in theory it is a possibility and something we would aspire to. We cant speculate as to the details of how it would work since its way in the future. We have just got to concentrate on making a good game at first and if we really do it right then in theory some of that stuff should follow.

Depends on how you classify camping really... it's going to be pretty fast paced and also with the way that the weapon balance will be set up camping isn't really that advantageous. Obviously you will come across campers but if they do it repeatedly and abusively then they will likely get kicked off the server anyway.

Well we do as much as we can but I am not a qualified salesman/advertiser. If you have any additional suggestions as to where and how we can adertise then they would be appreciated.

Sadly this is the same answer as the release date... when we get something that looks good. We could show you a video right now but it would look messy and would likely put more people off than it would attract, but yes we will get you some proper video footage at some point.

Camping in CSS was because 1 shot and your dead! TA won't be 1 shot 1 kill unless you get a head shot with a sniper haha

Camping in CSS was because 1 shot and your dead! TA won't be 1 shot 1 kill unless you get a head shot with a sniper haha

3 - 4 shots would sound nice, would you have some info about that ?  Smiley

Hmm advertising tbh i dont have any decent ideas other than youtube vids having people spam it round on their sites etc try and get it to that u just have to search tactical or assault and its the first choice? Tongue

When a vid is released ill add it to my sites news to try and entice people to the game but i think a lot of the TO community already knows of TA

Also a further question

I know its a lil premature but cheat protection will you guys develop this or will u let someone else do it? cos especially at the beginning i think its best to hold on to as many people as possible if the first thing they see is a cheater they will be gone Smiley

Edit: and another question in To u can summon things use ghost mode etc will this kind of thing also be available in TA? hell i dont even know if there included in UT3 since i dont have it yet

Just like tactical ops: assault on terror haha! Just because we have re branded to TA doesn't mean we won't play like TO btw since that's why most of us on the team are here right now Smiley

Ghost, Fly, Walk are all in UT3 default, TA won't take them out no worries Smiley

Do a searchy, theres been a fair bit of discussion about ladders and walls before.

As for advertising, since we dont have a budget then we pretty much rely on word of mouth/posting on other sites etc. A sweet video will definatley help as you say so we will invest some time in that definately.

sorry i keep thinking of more questions once i have posted the first ones xD im just keeping u on ur toes rly Tongue

Erm will the gameplay be more like 3.4 or 3.5? i know 3.5 is the more popular version but for me they messed to much stuff up in 3.5 a lot of which to fix bugs like crouching and im not a fan of the hit zones either

Will there be tost related things such as hitparade semi admin admin console and weapon and team info already integrated into it or will this be things added later / in other mods

Gameplay is going to be what we think is good. We aren't aiming for a specific version, just whats cool.

The first version is going to be pretty basic on features so a proper admin panel and things like that will appear a bit later.

well, to my feeling TO AoT has weird damages, some guns need 20 hits, others 4, but 2 or 4 shots ( head) for the assault rifles would seem realistic, ( and wouldn't kill the gameplay wich it is all about ofc.)

Will there be breakable props in tactical assualt maps?
Also even without large scale destructible environment, will there be breakable windows, and ability to shoot through walls?
