I totally disagree Laky.. but can understand your reasoning.
You wouldn't have put it on your news release if "you" (the team) didn't feel it was to a high standard and to your full satisfaction. TA Team has not done it before, so for a second do not believe that this was a WIP, especially considering it does not mention this anywhere (only a preview).
It is better to release what "you feel" (the TA Team) is a finished product and for a minority of people to give you their constructive critisism and HELP improve it even further with suggestions etc etc... THAN for you to have released that (or anything else) in a beta and get ten-fold more suggestions and threads of similar 'issues'
You have to weigh it up, yes a BETA is designed to revoke such responses to make the game better (thats the whole idea of the process stage) but as you know, if it isn't damn near perfect on release to everyones high-expectations (naturally built up by the high level of detail, mapping, textures, animations and of course the waiting etc... ) you're be doing more internal damage to the future of this game than simplying shattering a few peoples personal ego/feelings about 1 animation review.
Tis better have tested the community now and give you time to correct these things than jump straight in.
That's just my 2 cents.
Happy 2010 to everyone by the way
