I think an old crashed plane stuck in the tree would be the focal point of the map!

Or maybe a horse? :

i gotta say that i'm a bit disappointed...me and most of the people who play with me and are waiting for this game, we were hoping that it would be like a sequel for AOT...
it doesn't look like it :<
the first map, Fusion, reminds several maps on TO but this one just isn't...reminds me of the map "Creek" on call of duty 4 (that is a bad thing).
one of my friend asked me to translate you this:
"What the fuck does these maps have to do with anything? dark, dirty, open, NOT TO style at all. looks like another "ghost recon" failure. you need to know that you are going the wrong way with this mode and no one will play it".
i was going to say it in a lighter version but he is right...

Two things; firstly, you cannot judge the scale or layout of this map by these shots alone - so you can't right make judgement on how it will play. Secondly, there are plenty of TO maps which follow a smiliar design with open spacing, all of which are very good maps.
I ask you to wait until the release and try the game, then make your judgement.

lol, coulda expressed your points/crits and opinions a little mo eloquently almightyz but whatev (the latter part at least)
+1 on what mike said, you can't really judge gameplay and how it looks and feels in game from a couple of screenshots. You actually have to try things before making those judgments man.
Maybe elaborate on specific points that irk you and define what you feel makes maps betterer (lulz) for this particular game or somthing, i dunno (different thread? not sure here
).
...and imma call up the infinity ward guys and tell them they iz doin it wrong (jk, i know what you meant
). Didn't know there was a jungleish map in cod 4 but haven't played in ages.

Well Mr Almighty, I find your tone extremely rude and very unhelpful. If you wish to make constuctive criticism of the work we have produced then that is fine and we would be glad to recieve it.
However if you wish to be rude about the work we have produced whilst having no idea about the process or workflow required to produce maps of this quality then I would kindly ask you to hold your tongue. If you do have experience in mod making for the Unreal Engine then please apply for a place in the team and we would be glad to recieve your infinite wisdom.
TA is not a TO clone. It is a reamake in the syle of TO which takes the core elments of TO to the new engine, some aspects will be close to the original while others will be improved. If you want to play a TO maps that look like box rooms from 1995 then go and play TO.
Also I would appreciate it if you would not extrapolate your rather narrow views to those of the overall gaming public. As well as old TO players we are looking to broaden the audience to bring the TO style to players of COD and other such games in the genre therefore you and your TO friends are not the only intended audience and not the only people waiting for this game.

Quiet a few I'd say for the first release, then more will follow. You guys will have a very good choice.
About the maps, some people may like a bit more tidy maps without a lot of objects in, but other people might like a bit more eye candy in wheres theirs more places to hide, and some places to camp. I think it's a good thing, because it's the best of both worlds.

I want to whine @ the DEV's too !!!
.............
After i donated $ 1000.000
The only reward the team gets, is our appriciation for their work.
The maps don't look like TO, because the UT3 engine and this generation of hardware are miles ans miles further. This is called evolution.
In TO:C there are maps you don't see in TO, but they are so good that i call them legandary. Im sure there will be such good maps in TA. Don't know which maps, first have to play them
I think the long waiting is more than rewarded. The Dev's don't come with shit. I sended the link of the last update to some friends who stopped playing AOT/TO:C for years and they where so amazed that they will buy UT3 and install TA. I called my halfbro, he quit playing for more than 5 years because TO was controlling his life and he was so suprised of the good quality produced by the TA team that he will start playing again.
The good things at this site are stimulating me to work hard to get my casemod done before TA comes out.
