TA Team would like to wish everyone a happy new year! After a small winter sleep the TA team are finally back to full strength again.
Still, even with some of us taking well deserved breaks, we have made some amazing progress in our character modelling and animation teams and weaponry; this year will be a year full of surprises for you.
The talent pool is definitely flowing to the TA camp, We are getting top notch applicants all the time now.
We recruited two new character modelers, that are currently working on hostage models and variations of the SF and Terr guys.
We also got a new amazing animator, that worked on EA titles like NBA 08, Facebreaker, and Fight Night 4. He will help us out on character animation.
And last but not least, there is a new sound guy that has a lot of experience with creating game sounds. He will help us out on weapon and character sounds.
Deeps is nearly done converting his map Deadlock from UT3 to UDK. A lot of new assets were done since we can't use the UT3 assets anymore, so Deadlock is being recreated from scratch and it looks even better than before.
There will be a nice media Release with new pictures of Deadlock next month, so be patient, you will be surprised by the amazing quality of the map Deeps created.
Before christmas a lot of weapons were done and implemented in our Alpha build. heres a list of all weapons that already are ingame:
SF: KA-Bar, DE, Raging Bull, UMP45, MP5k, Scar-H, M-700, Grenade and the Armor.
Terr: Hatchet, DE, Glock, Raging Bull, Mac-10, Mossberg 590, MP5A3, M-700, AK-47, Grenade and Armor.
The last few weapons are nearly completed - with GuyB taking on the final weaponry tasks.
He has the Springfield XD, the Remington 870 (Replacement for the Benelli), the HK416 that only needs a new texture on it, the HK G3, the SIG 552 and the SR25!
We have also nearly completed our MERC and SWAT characters -they're ingame and animated 70% of the way. Work is taking place on the hostage model, and the MERC and SWAT first person player hands. But things are just about completing, and its one of the hardest things to do in a modding environment - finishing off the assets to a high level, the level that Stud and Proto expect.
We can't show you any screens right now, since its all a bit chaotic, alot of the concentration is on completing what we have outstanding and working really hard to our first release (wow did we hint at a release??

) but like i said earlier there will be a media Release with Deadlock and some other releases with other great stuff soon.
